Swedish metal

It has often been said there are four certainties in life: death, taxes, Swiss trains run on time and Metallica always delivers an awesome concert. Well, 3 out of 4 of these are true. We started our trip and the Swiss trains were not true to form and 3 of 4 of us missed out train connections. But, we made it to Zurich and eventually Stockholm and the trains were the only thing that was disappointing on the trip.

Everything else on the trip was exceptional. We stayed in the heart of Stockholm in a four bedroom penthouse with great views. Enjoyed our first evening by starting at the rooftop bar Tak and then moved on to an excellent dinner at Restaurant Hantverket. On Saturday we visited the Vasa which is an old Swedish warship that was restored after sitting in the Ocean for 350 years. Finally we rocked with Metallic who was absolutely sensational. We were able to do some cool preconcert activities and Metallica’s drummer bought us a few drinks thanks to a fun connection that Scott has – thanks Lars.

Great weekend with some great guys. Thank you Scott Hylen, Jeff Cudney and Pat Morton for such a memorable weekend.

Wow, that looks like a lot of fun, but I would like, of course, a different group more in line with my age growing up. Fun, Fun, Fun for you.
