A two trophy weekend!

Feeling more and more normal here as the kids both had competitions this weekend.

McKenna competed in a debate competition at the International School of Geneva.  Lots and lots of kids at the event.  McKenna competed with 6 classmates from International School of Lausanne (ISL) and was in 2 events – junior debate and junior impromptu.  She and her partner Zophia took 3rd debating the topic “is social media antisocial”.  In junior impromptu, her 1st time ever, she won the event doing a 3 minute speech (planned in 1 minute) about “actions speak louder than words”.   Took the train for the 1st time as well.

Sadie competed with her Lausanne Angels Cheer team in Morges, Switzerland.  The competition was so many kids!!  Totally billingual with kids speaking french, German, English.  Sadie is the only English speaker on her team!  They took second place!  The team has been great using the skills Sadie has brought so she does lots of tumbling.  For the grandparents, full video of Sadie’s competition below (last one).

Jess and I felt back to normal, driving kids around all weekend.
